Crab Cake made in Philadelphia


"I wanted to do something really special for my fiancée for Valentine's Day, and I thought having Chef David help me surprise her would be fun and different. I told him that my fiancée loved seafood pasta and that I really like spicy food. He suggested a fra diavolo with mussels, scallops, and shrimp. It was perfect! He also worked with me to pick an appetizer and a dessert that we would both love. The food and drink were exceptional, but that was only part of why the night was so memorable. Chef David's top-notch service combined with the atmosphere he created (lighting, background music, flowers...) made for a night we will never forget. I didn't think someone could put together a 5 star experience in our small space and our little kitchen. Thanks Chef David!"

"My husband and I were invited to our dear friends' home for our first private dining experience with Chef David. We were beyond excited to embark on this unique style of dining, but I'll be honest as we weren't sure what to expect and even wondered if we would feel comfortable at our friends' house while someone else cooked for us. As soon as we walked in the home our anxieties vanished as we were welcomed in by Chef David's generous smile and professionalism. He easily gauged the room knowing when to be kind enough to join in conversation to make us feel comfortable but professional enough to complete the task at hand; preparing an unforgettable meal. Our three course meal consisted of Imperial Crab Cakes that both my husband and I agreed was served in one of the best Louisiana style remoulades we've ever had. Keeping with the seafood theme, Chef David then served us Shrimp Scampi in a light garlic and wine butter sauce. Lastly, he ended the evening with a delicious gooey chocolate cake, a favorite of our host and hostess. Without a doubt the best part of the entire experience was the ability to have a five star meal in the comfort of our friends' home without having the host running around trying to get dinner ready. We were really able to relish the time we had to catch up, drink wine, and enjoy an impeccable meal. We are beyond thankful for our friends who introduced us to Chef David and his private dining experience. We can't wait for the opportunity to use him in the future so we can introduce him to friends of ours."
